AI visibility
AI visibility: see the AI traffic hitting your website
Voris shows you how much of your traffic is AI agents versus humans, and which AI assistants send you real visitors. Privacy-first, cookieless, EU-hosted.
Something changed about web traffic, and most analytics tools haven't noticed.
It isn't just people browsing anymore. It's crawlers building search indexes. It's AI assistants reading your pages to answer someone's question. It's agents acting on behalf of a real person who may never see your site with their own eyes. Some of this traffic is welcome. Some of it is noise. A little of it is hostile. And almost none of it shows up clearly in a normal analytics dashboard, where a bot and a buyer get counted as the same anonymous visit.
Voris is built to change that. This page explains what AI visibility is, why the agentic web matters for your analytics, and how Voris separates humans from machines without collecting more personal data.
What is AI visibility?
AI visibility is a way of measuring web traffic that tells the difference between humans, AI agents, and bots, and then shows you what each group is doing on your site. Instead of one undifferentiated "visitors" number, you see how much of your traffic comes from real people, how much comes from AI systems, and which named AI assistants are sending you human visitors who go on to convert.
It answers a question traditional analytics was never designed to ask: when an AI reads, recommends, or acts on your website, can you see it?
Why AI traffic matters now
For twenty years, the job of web analytics was mostly to measure people arriving from search engines and links. That world is shifting under our feet.
People now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Grok the questions they used to type into Google. Those assistants read websites, summarize them, cite them, and sometimes send a real person clicking through. At the same time, a growing share of raw traffic is automated: indexing crawlers, monitoring tools, and agents doing tasks on someone's behalf.
If your analytics lumps all of that together, two things happen. Your headline numbers get quietly inflated by machines, and you stay blind to one of the most interesting new ways people are finding you. Neither is a good place to make decisions from.
The teams that start measuring this now will understand the agentic web long before their competitors realize it became a channel.
How Voris classifies every visit
The moment an event reaches Voris, we work out what kind of visitor sent it. No extra script on your side, no tag to configure, no change to how you've already set things up. It happens on our servers, as the data comes in.
Each visit lands in one of four buckets:
- Human. A real person. This stays the safe default, so we never quietly downgrade a genuine visitor into a bot.
- Verified agent. An AI agent that proves who it is using signed requests. When an operator identifies itself properly, we take it at its word and label it accordingly.
- Unverified agent. Something that looks like a known operator from its fingerprint, but hasn't cryptographically proven it.
- Adversarial bot. The headless, header-spoofing, suspiciously-fast traffic you'd usually rather not have.
That single piece of context, attached to every event, is what makes everything else on this page possible.
What you can see in the AI visibility tab
The AI visibility tab gives you the view that has been missing.
Bot and agent activity by operator. You'll see how much of your traffic is agents rather than people, and crucially, which agents. The breakdown is by operator, so instead of a vague "bot" number you can see the named players reading your content and how big a share each one represents.
AI referrals and conversion. You'll see real humans arriving from named AI assistants, and whether they go on to convert. This is the difference between knowing an assistant sends you clicks and knowing it sends you customers. Read more on the AI referrals and conversion page.
Top AI landing pages. You'll see which of your pages the assistants point people toward, which is a strong hint about the content AI models consider worth recommending.
Humans-only, everywhere. A single toggle flips every report to people-only, so your core numbers stop being distorted by automated traffic. Read more on the humans-only analytics page.
A quick comparison
| Question | Traditional analytics | Voris AI visibility |
|---|---|---|
| Is this visit a human or a bot? | Usually unanswered | Classified on every event |
| Which AI assistants send me visitors? | Hidden inside "Referral" or "Direct" | A dedicated AI channel |
| Do AI visitors convert? | Not measurable | Shown per assistant |
| Can I see just the humans? | Manual filtering, if at all | One toggle, every report |
| Do I need a new tracking script? | Often | No |
Built privacy-first, the same as always
None of this changes what Voris stands for. The classification happens server-side, your visitors' IP addresses are still dropped the moment we've derived rough location, and the default mode stays cookieless. You get more insight into AI traffic without collecting more personal data. That isn't a tension we had to resolve. It's the whole point of how Voris was built.
Who AI visibility is for
This matters most if you're a founder, marketer, content creator, or agency who senses that AI is changing how people find you and wants real numbers instead of guesses. If you publish content, you'll want to know which pages AI models recommend. If you sell something, you'll want to know which assistants send buyers. And if you simply care about clean data, you'll want the humans-only view.
What you get, plainly
We'd rather be clear than impressive. AI visibility is live: the AI visibility tab, the AI referral channel, and the humans-only toggle, on every plan. It sits alongside the analytics Voris has always done: traffic, top pages, sources, locations, devices, and Core Web Vitals, all without a cookie banner for most sites. Create a site, install the one-line snippet, and the tab fills in as traffic arrives.
Frequently asked questions
What is AI visibility in web analytics?
AI visibility is a set of analytics features that separate human visitors from AI agents and bots, then show which AI assistants send real, converting visitors to your site. It gives you a clear view of the agentic web reaching your pages.
How does Voris tell bots and humans apart?
Voris classifies every incoming visit on its servers into one of four groups: human, verified agent, unverified agent, or adversarial bot. Verified agents prove their identity through signed requests, while a human is the safe default for anything unidentified.
Do I need to install anything extra to use AI visibility?
No. AI visibility works from the same Voris tracking script you already use. The classification happens server-side, so there's no new tag, no schema change, and nothing extra to maintain.
Does AI visibility collect more personal data?
No. Classification is server-side, IP addresses are never stored, and the default mode stays cookieless. You get more insight into AI traffic without expanding your privacy footprint.
Which AI assistants does Voris track?
At launch the AI referral channel recognizes major assistants including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Grok, and the list grows as the agentic web evolves.
Is AI visibility available now?
Yes. AI visibility is live on every plan, including Free. Create a site, install the snippet, and the AI visibility tab starts filling in as traffic arrives.
